Barry Solan

Health and Well Being Coach

Barry holds an honours degree in Sports Science and a Postgraduate Certification in Physical Education from St. Mary’s University College, London. Furthermore, a number of his credentials include; Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Performance Enhancement Specialist (P.E.S) from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and Certified Golf Fitness Instructor (CGFI) from the Titleist Performance Institute. He is also pursuing his Masters in Strength & Conditioning from Edith Cowan University, Perth, Western Australia.

Barry has worked with junior, amateur, collegiate and professional athletes in Ireland, England, and at the Athletes’ Performance Institute in Arizona, USA. He is involved in coaching professional athletes from a diverse range of sports including; golf, Gaelic football, rugby, soccer, boxing, tennis, cricket and ice hockey. Most notably, he was involved with the host nation Poland at the Euro 2012 Championships and Olympic boxing gold medalist Katie Taylor. Barry is an associate lecturer in Sport Science at IT Tallaght, Dublin.
